The Story of Rosina Farrington Stone
The story of Rosina Farrington Stone takes us from her childhood in Maine to the California gold rush in 1851. She was the FIRST TEACHER and the FIRST BRIDE in Grass Valley. We learn about her family living during the last half of the 1800s in gold rush country.
The "first edition" of my book entitled The Gold Thimble was published in February 2012 and distributed to around 20 family members and cousins.
The book is now available either as a paperback or an ebook through FastPencil.com/Marketplace, as well as other sites such as Amazon.
I would like feed back as you read the book, both content and editing. As many of you know, I am an accountant, not a writer. So I welcome comments.
Since I retired I have been working hard on our family history since it is so fascinating. Besides Rosina's story, here is a link to a blog with the six lineages from two of my father's great grandparents that show descendancy from passengers who arrived in Plymouth in 1620 on The Mayflower.
